Floraic — Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Floraic mobile app ("Floraic", "the app"). Floraic is provided by Dor Michaeli, an individual developer based in Israel ("we", "us"). By using Floraic, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Who can use Floraic

You must be at least 13 years old to use Floraic. If you are under the age of majority in the place where you live, you may use Floraic only with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.

What Floraic does

Floraic provides plant identification, plant health checks, personalized watering plans and reminders, care logging, and care suggestions to help you look after your houseplants — for example, suggesting what a plant might be (with a confidence score and alternative matches), flagging a possible issue when you ask for a health check, recording when you water or fertilize, and reminding you when care is next due. Identification and health features use third-party plant identification and AI providers, described further in our How We Use AI page.

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable permission to use the Floraic app for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.

For general information only — not professional advice

Floraic's plant identification, plant health, watering, and care features are provided for general informational purposes only. They are produced in part by automated AI systems and third-party providers, and their results can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong.

Floraic does not provide professional botanical, horticultural, agricultural, medical, veterinary, toxicology, or safety advice. In particular:

• Do not rely on Floraic to decide whether a plant is safe, edible, or toxic to people or animals.
• Do not rely on Floraic for any decision where a wrong answer could cause harm.

You are responsible for your own plant-care decisions. Always verify important decisions with a qualified professional or another reliable source.

Your content

"Your content" means the photos, plant names, notes, and other information you put into Floraic.

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us permission to store and process your content only as needed to operate the app for you — for example, storing your plant photos so they appear in the app, and sending a photo to third-party plant identification and AI providers when you ask for an identification or a health check. This is described in our Privacy Policy and How We Use AI page.

You are responsible for your content. Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that is unlawful.

Acceptable use

Please use Floraic reasonably. Do not:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to break, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its backend.
• Try to access other users' data.
• Misuse the identification or health features — for example, by automating large volumes of requests.

Floraic+ subscription

Floraic's features require an active Floraic+ subscription (or an active free trial, where one is offered). Floraic+ is available as a monthly or an annual subscription.

• Prices. The exact price for your country and currency is shown by Google Play before you subscribe. We do not list prices in these Terms; the price presented in Google Play at the time of purchase is the one that applies.
• Free trials. A free trial may be offered where you see one presented in the app and confirmed by Google Play. Trial eligibility is determined by Google Play. When a trial ends, the subscription's regular price is charged unless you cancel before the trial ends.
• Automatic renewal. Floraic+ renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on your plan) unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Billing. Payment is charged through your Google Play account. We do not process or store your payment-card details.
• Managing and cancelling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancelling does not normally refund the current billing period — refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies and any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
• Restoring. If you reinstall the app or switch devices, "Restore purchases" can restore access to an active Floraic+ subscription when you use the same Google account. It does not necessarily restore plant data associated with a previous anonymous app account.
• Fair use. AI-powered features (identification, health checks, and similar) are subject to reasonable fair-use limits to keep the service available for everyone.

Availability

We try to keep Floraic working, but we do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app, or any part of it, at any time. Please do not rely on Floraic as your only record of anything important to you.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Floraic is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be accurate, reliable, secure, or error-free, or that it will meet your needs.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Dor Michaeli will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, plants, or property, arising from your use of — or inability to use — Floraic. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for Floraic in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some places do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot be limited or excluded under the law that applies to you.

Ending your use

You may stop using Floraic at any time by uninstalling the app. Uninstalling does not by itself cancel a subscription — cancel in Google Play (see "Floraic+ subscription" above). We may suspend or end your access to Floraic, in whole or in part, if you misuse the app or violate these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of the country where you live.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Floraic evolves. When we do, we will update the effective date above. If you keep using Floraic after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
